Hi everyone ! smile.gif just one week to go until the first Blackburn forum concert party1.gif piano.gif note.gif harp.gif

The concert will start at approximately 130pm.

Arrivals are welcome from 10am for rehearsals with your accompanist and practice time.

It would be lovely if we could all have lunch together at approximately 12:00 and get to know each other smile.gif Please bring a packed lunch as there is nowhere within walking distance to go to buy lunch, although there is an Asda a short drive away.

If anyone would like picking up from the train station please let myself or Sally know your expected arrival time and we will sort that out for you.

We would like to thank everyone for supporting of our first ever forum event , we hope it will be a thoroughly enjoyable day for all smile.gif

Excited and rather scared about this now! My train doesn't arrive until about 12noon so it will probably be 12:15ish by the time I find the venue.

See you all on Sunday smile.gif

I dont normally finish organ grinding at church until 12.15, and its a good hours run, so may be a bit tight to make it by 1.30!

Think you definitely first to report back in Sbhoa.
Feel really pleased with how everything went today, Thanks to everyone for their support, it was lovely to see you all.
Trimmy had PM'd me to say he ended up working until 6 this morning and hadn't slept... only I didn't check my messages until just now, so all's well, just sad.gif at missing the event.
yamaha

It was a delight to join the event at the last moment, and thanks to SBPiano, Yamaha , and others who organised it smile.gif . It was quite relaxing to attend just as a listener, and to meet some old friends like Mad Tom , KatyJay and Robodoc, and well as meeting the acquaintence of a few more forumites. Of course the highlights for me were the performances of Paul G and Chaminade, I can never hope to get to that standard !
Maybe I can get to a future Blackburn event to perform, it was only just over an hours drive for me.

I was gutted to miss this event sad.gif but alas the work must come 1st, (without the work there are no pleasures) I'm pleased the event went well smile.gif i shudder to imagine how much planning goes into these events, but just picking up on your last sentence, hope you do arrange another event and sooner rather than later smile.gif

I WILL BE THERE smile.gif

Excellent news smile.gif We are looking at sometime in November hopefully smile.gif Watch this space ....

Mad Tom
I am just briefly breaking my self-imposed silence to thank:

1. Sally and Val for such a well organized event
2. Those that played for some very enjoyable performances
3. The other participants, their friends and family, for their kind and complimentary feedback on my performance

not forgetting ...

4. Robodoc for providing me with somewhere to stay, sustenance and a nice piano on which to practice

To anyone that missed out this time, I can tell you that the place is easy to find, there is plenty of parking nearby, the venue is an attractive old house (now a music school) and the Kawai grand piano used for the performances is simply gorgeous to play.
