hiya!
(it seems like forever since ive posted a question in here! lol)

anyway, i recently started a keyboard club at my school for GCSE kids. it runs for an hour and about 5 people come along and we look at solo pieces, group work and the odd bit of thoery.

but im really running low on creative ideas for us to try out. i like the idea of composing songs and group songs, but their musicality is not at a stage to create something that they would themselves appreciate.

has anyone got any suggestions on how to bridge the gap ??

(i know composition is a saw subject.... please be civil! )

Not too bad if you hack into it, I was in-tennon to tell you. You could try a jig but don't fret if it doesn't come out well first time. Go on, you mitres well try it.

hi

thanks rhapsodin.......... i will try a couple of ensemble pieces with them. the main problem is finding something that is easy but effective. its the kind of group where they get disheartened if they dont sound like a proffessional orchestra!

i think they're still getting over the sixth form issue aswell. many of them dont like the idea of a sixth former telling them to listen to what im saying!!

oh well!
