Can any one tell me the words for verse 2 onwards? I want to teach it to the brownies at the song night tonight!

I thought there was only the one verse! The I googled and found
thisWow.... Lot of lyrics for a nursery rhyme.... I would have copied it across, but kididdles say you can't do that without their permission - hence the link.

I didn't, but looked through Google and found this:
Ah! Vous dirai-je, Maman,
Ce qui cause mon tournment?
Papa veut que je raisonne,
Comme une grande personne;
Moi, je dis que les bonbons
Valent mieux que la raison.
Translation:
Ah! Let me tell you, Mother,
What's the cause of my torment?
Papa wants me to reason
Like a grown-up.
Me, I say that sweets have
Greater value than reason.

Thanks fred

. I only knew the first line of the second verse. I'm sure I'll have fun teaching it to the brownies... although that means I have to sing now....
Cecilia: Thanks for the french words, I think I'll refrain from from teaching the brownies french!

I didn't know it had so many verses!
the only other verses I have come across were the silly ones... one that starts "twinkle twinkle little bat" I think, and another that says "like a teatray" rather than "like a diamond".... I forget the rest of them though...
this is my favourite one though.... how silly is that? fabulous...

maybe teach it to them in French another week...?

I can do one better, from what I can remember it goes like this.
Twinkle Twinkle Chocolate Bar
Your dad drives a rusty car
Push the Start and pull the Choke
Drive off in a cloud of smoke
Twinkle Twinkle Chocolate Bar
Your dad drives a rusty car
who 's hear this one then?

Years ago a visiting choir sang:
Scintillate, scintillate, globule orific
Fain would I fathom thy nature specific
Loftily poised in the ether capacious
Strongly resembling a gem carbonaceous
They also did:
Three rodents with defective visual perception,
Observe how they perambulate
They all perambulated after the agriculturist's spouse
Who severed their hind appendages with a kitchen utensil
Did you ever see such a spectacle in your existence as
Three rodents with defective visual perception

Twinkle twinkle little bat
How I wonder what you're at
Up above the world so high
Like a tea-tray in the sky...
*gets put into teapot by Mad Hatter and March Hare*
