I just joined the forum and this is my first post. I have been reading the forum for quite a while and it's been very helpful for me.

I am 27 and originally from India. I began learning Clarinet when I turned 26 as a Birthday gift to myself. Also because learning a musical instrument was in my list of things to do before 30. I am an absolute beginner and had only heard the word "Clarinet" few months before I started learning it.

I took Grade 1 in Nov and skipped Grade 2. After 11 months, I am taking my Grade 3 Clarinet exam this evening.

Butterflies, nerves and sweaty palms.

Hopefully, everything should work out alright.

My aural was shaky and squeaked a little (as my tutor says "comes with the trade") during my pieces but I think overall, I have done fairly well.

Well thats what we are like --- just a lovely bunch really --- we have our little ups and downs. Lots of fun --- and helps some -- i think with sharing things. Well done --- i think it is even harder when teaching your self!
