I'm relocating this summer and going through the process of telling my students - ouch, hate this part! I want to be able to give them some recommendations for finding a new teacher but don't know any other teachers in the area. I plan to phone a few from musicteachers.co.uk but if anyone has any personal recommendations or if you teach in York/surrounding area yourself, I'd love to hear from you. They are mainly clarinet, ranging from grade 1 through to grade 8, and all ages. I also have a few sax students playing for fun and not doing exams.
And for anyone who's been in this situation, any tips on how to make it as painless as possible would be much appreciated!
