Hi

I am taking grade 6 trumpet this term and I still havn't got a piece for list A. I've tried the piece called Canzona 5 which my teacher gave me a copy of but I just did not get on with it.
My local music store does not have any of the other pieces in stock and so to see them i would have to buy the books which could work out rather expensive.

Any advice on any of the other pieces that anyone could give would be helpful.

Thanks

I like the Canzona sad.gif , admittedly it's not to everyone's taste though. Not sure about any other list 1 pieces. Does anyone have any idea of a good 2nd piece for Grade 8. Have tried Copland and Busser, but wondered what else is available?

This place I know has all the grade 8 possible pieces, so it may well also have the grade 6s. Let me know what you decide on.

When you can play Canzona well with a beautiful sound you will love it. I can't stand Stealthy living... Or in fact most of the stuff from that book lol I did Bach- dont do that one!!

Good on you, I'm revising it at the moment for an AS recital. Just in time but its just right for a peak performance on exam day!
