Hi,

I have recently (as in yesturday!) joined a choir and as an aid to strengthen my voice im looking for some warm up exersizes that I can do at home prior to practise - can anyone advise?

The reason I have joined a choir is to broaden my musical out look and to enhance my teaching as hopefully next year I will commence the PGCE (secondary music).

many thanks! smile.gif

I use this book with a lot of my adult pupils - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mike-Brewers-Warm-...4964&sr=8-1 There's a good mixture of exercises with clear explanations. Although it's aimed at choir use, it works perfectly well for individuals too.

I cannot recommend any thing that Mike Brewer produces enough! As someone who has been associated with the National Youth Choir for years he is the Choir trainer's Choir trainer and the singing teacher's guru on anything Choral.

This is an excellent recommendation from Seer_Green. You won't go far wrong with that!
