Dear Friends,

I am writing to inform you of the exciting, new 'South East Clarinet Day,' (supported by TW Howarth of London)

Featuring guest artist and renowned orchestral clarinetist, Tim Lines, distinguished composer and pianist, Martin Butler, and five top professional clarinet tutors, this full day of ensemble coaching, masterclass / open lesson opportunities and clarinet related lectures is aimed at all clarinet enthusiasts from grade 5 to professional level.

You will also have the opportunity to try out and buy clarinet accessories and music from our TW Howarth stand at a special 15% discount for this ONE day only!! Our tutors will be available throughout the day to answer your questions and offer expert advice about all aspects of playing the clarinet.

More details are included on our website at http://www.clarinetday.com

If you prefer not to take part in the full day but would be interested in coming along to observe the 3-hour mini recital / masterclass taken by Tim Lines and Martin Butler, tickets will also be available for this.

If you are a clarinetist or clarinet teacher or have any friends or colleagues who may be interested in this event, please do forward this on to them and let them know

Please contact: info@clarinetday.com for further information or questions or to fill in an application form.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there....!

Kind Regards,

Yes, it would be useful if this was flagged up in time to access advance train tickets (about 12 weeks notice) and to have time to prepare something for the masterclass.

Quite a few pounds, and on the same day as William Tell at the Proms, and possibly now too late to apply, but only a bus ride away and a whole day of clarinet love. Hmm, what to do, what to do...

According to the website, applications had to be in by 30th June. Are you saying there are still places available?

Very close to Clari-land, but too short notice - so unavailable. A pity, because I could have used that masterclass... sad.gif

Hello,

Yes there are spaces still available as the deadline has now been extended.

I realise that it is short notice. Unfortunately I only recently came across this forum. It will be on here much sooner next time.

Kind Regards,

Nadia

Aim for about 13 weeks before the event, if you can. That gives a good lead time for travellers to get tickets smile.gif

This sounds great and I would definitely be interested next year. Can't do this year's, unfortunately.
