Josef Suk, violinist and son of Josef Suk the composer, and great grandson of Antonin Dvorak, has passed away - full Obit in todays Daily Telegraph, and no doubt other papers

That is very sad - he was one of my favourite violinists.

Thanks for posting that Rosie, a fitting tribute, and with Katchen at the piano, beautiful playing.

I have played the piano part of the three Brahms Sonatas, but not for many years,(though I do prefer the third sonata with its f#minor third movement !!)
