I still prefer Stefano Bertuletti's Fugue on "Michelle, my belle" - though wedding couples probably wouldn't know what to make of it.

Now that is clever. No doubt that will go down a treat with the wedding couples.

I'd probably find this a vast improvement on the original, if I'd ever heard it. laugh.gif

Actually, maybe I have heard the original but I just don't remember it. ph34r.gif

Thanks for this. smile.gif Always nice to receive a freebie.
I know nothing of Lady Gaga apart from not wishing to take fashion advice from her.
Would you use this to bring 'em in or to send 'em out?

Before the ceremony perhaps, or during the signing...

Sounds better on piano than organ. It is easier to give the voices a different character, and to use dynamic differences to clarify the counterpoint.

Also if it is played a bit quicker (than the organ version posted above) then it is more recognizable.

...Fancy suggesting that married life is the beginning of a 'bad romance' tongue.gif

Great stuff for youth services and family services, especially if you need to argue the case for the Organ.

Yes, and you've usually got at least 2 keyboards to choose from as well as a few stops.

Keys are not touch sensitive, however... I agree it is horses for courses. Personally I think this would sound better on the Organ as you can do mock/gothic extra theatrical better on the organ, however there are technical things that are in favour of the piano too.

I wonder what it would sound like on the harpsichord?.... blink.gif unsure.gif

These are all very different instruments. Pipe organs certainly have their place in a Church Surrounding due to their ability to Command a sound space.

I thought the quote had more to do with leud acts and tin roofs very apt for a bad romance... unsure.gif unsure.gif

Some tunes are both catchy AND eminently forgettable! wink.gif
Sounds like a contradiction but perfectly possible for me.

I've no idea who publishes it or how to get a copy and I only know it from a CD by Martin Setchell. There doesn't seem to be any complete performance available on the net. The best I could find is the first 28 seconds here: http://www.musicload.de/martin-setchell/fu...ngle/10191291_4 - it's so brief you wonder why they bothered (click the loudspeaker under the CD image). Amazon has an equally uninformative snatch from the middle of the piece. It's a clever piece - very chromatic - but definitely in the cerebral rather than blockbuster category.
