Hello,

I'm teaching myself for the grade 8 piano exam and am not sure on which time bars to play in this piece.

I know not to repeat so am presuming that you play only the 2nd time bar, not the 1st.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes you're right, in ABRSM exams, repeats are omitted (unless specifically asked for in the syllabus).

So in the case of 1st and 2nd time repeat bars - play only the second time bars.

Agreed. I'm doing this piece for my Grade 8, it's lovely isn't it? So smooth and flowing.

Bar 42 is in fifths, has anybody notice this? I have checked another edition and it is the same. It seems a bit odd as bars 37 to 47 are a repeat of bars 5 to 16.
