Can anyone recommend any clarinet technique/exercises books, a bit like the Trevor Wye flute books? Anything really from beginner up to about Grade 5?

I'm not familiar with the Trevor Wye books... but..

a couple of years back, these books were mentioned:

and sounded interesting. I always wondered if they were any good, but didn't order any. Anyone know?

Will be interested to see what answers you get.

Thanks for that - I think they may be more like tutor books rather than books of specifically technical exercises.

I have long wished for a Trevor Wye-style set of handbooks for the clarinet (perhaps I should have a go at writing some laugh.gif ). As it is, you're probably looking at a combination of different books by different authors : 50 Classical Studies (Weston), 80 Graded Studies for clarinet book 1 (Davies/Harris), book 1 of the Thurston Passage Studies and the Cambridge Clarinet Tutor (Harris) should make a decent little library. smile.gif
