Full Version: Which edition for Italian concerto?

I have a young (8) piano pupil and would like him to learn the third movement of Bach's Italian Concerto. I have a Henle edition that he could borrow but I wonder if anyone has any advice on which edition I should ask him to get. He's extremely gifted, and learns pieces seemingly overnight, but in view of his age and experience I wonder if there are advantages to a more edited version. Any thoughts?

Thanks for this - I don't think he's a prodigy, but he's very unusual and will have outgrown me well before before he's in double figures...
