What chord does a 5 under the melody indicate?? Please help ASAP! I have my piano lesson in... 10 mins.

Fen: Yup!

I didn't actually see the replies in time, but after asking my teacher, she said it was cancelling out the previous sharpened 3rd from the 5/3#, so it was just showing the 5/3 chord... rolleyes.gif

Do you only have to know the 5/3 chord? Usually 5/3 chords have no figurs beneath them to indicate that they are 5/3 chords.

But it had to show it because the sharpened note was being cancelled... I think. unsure.gif

Yep, thats what my teacher said Cecilia. She said it is like cancelling out a sharp with a natural or something...
