For 2012, I'm not going to do as comprehensive a calendar as this year - I'm happy to do a summary listing on a new thread though (starting in late Nov/early Dec). Full details will still be in the various threads started by myself and others.

As far as I can work out, there is the following in the pipeline for next year :

Adult Learner concert in Egham, Surrey on February 18, organised by katyjay.
Forum event in Cardiff on April 28, organised by BadStrad.
Forum event in Glasgow on May 13, organised by muzikalbadger and dizzyfingers.
Adult Learner concert in Stalybridge on July 14, organised by sbhoa.
Forum event in Derbyshire, organised by Pixie*Porsche.

I'll also get the SE/DA/BR/CR postcode teacher gatherings up and running for next year, otherwise everything else forum wise appears to be in the category of 'maybe' at the moment.

Egham will definitely happen. Probably on the 19th February, subject to confirmation with the venue etc.

Quick update. LooneyTunes is checking availability of the venue in Cardiff. Tentative dates are 31st March or 28th April.

Just wanted to say Thanks to Barry for doing this list - It's really useful to have a list of everything thats going on. (I think a more simple list will be just as good as lasts years)

And thanks to KatyJay for organising Egham again.

I should be OK for 28th April : I might be OK for 31st March. I like the Cardiff events

Just had a phone call to say that there is a wedding at noon on July 21st.
The date is now 14th July...... and no, we are not having a French theme but feel free to play something in keeping with the date if you like.

14th is the summer concert of my choral society (not that far away in south Cheshire) BUT we have an exchange visit from the twin town choir in Macon... so can't get out of that one (I'll be hosting 2 or 3 French visitors ). Considering it's Bastille day, we're going to open the concert with Parry I Was Gald (in honour of the Jubilee) and then we have the Mozart Coronation Mass and then the Vespers - very republican!

But means I'm going to miss out....

That's excellent news - I should be able to come. I couldn't have come the 21st as one of my pieces is being sung in Coventry Cathedral and as this is probably a once-in-a-lifetime thing, I felt I ought to go there. Luckilly I'll be able to do both

On Friday 13th April Floss is giving a recital at Boston Spa Methodist Church as part of their lunchtime recital series (details here - http://www.bostonspamethodistchurch.org.uk...time-concerts/)

Floss will be performing a selection of pieces for voice and violin (but not at the same time!), and it starts at 1pm. Admission is 4 GBP.

Date for the diary : according to Andy Scott's website, the 2012 RNCM saxophone day is likely to be on Sunday 28th October, rather earlier in the year than usual...
