I can't give an accurate grading (I don't know if it's quite as simple as that smile.gif ), but my personal experience was that I didn't feel ready to learn these and do reasonable justice to them until after I'd done grade 8. I think one of them is on a diploma syllabus.

Gb is on DipABRSM syllabus. They are all wonderful. I wub.gif the Gb and am looking forward to learning it properly. It is on my wishlist when I am ready for my Dip. Along with the g minor P+F from WTC book 1 (Bach).

They are the as-read bits of the programme. The Classical Sonata is probably Mozart in D K 284? I have not decided the last filler, probably 'own choice' from Albeniz Suite Espagnole.

However there is this small question of my Grade 8 first! Then the issue of performance nerves...

They are all Grade 8 to Dip in that set.
The easiest of the two sets of Impromptus is the A flat (No 2 in the other set), certainly no harder than Grade 8. I often play all 8 !

I did no 4 for my DipLCM recently.

What about the Op 142 No 3
Peg
I started playing them just after I'd done grade 8, so I'd say most of them are probably a bit higher smile.gif

This one is a bit of a monster! I find some of the later variations quite tricky to pull off in even a faintly musical manner. The beginning (theme) always reminds me of one of the Rosamunde Entr'actes.

Yes I agree with that Benjy. smile.gif
