Hi,

I received a certificate for music for the holidays (for digital recordings by artists, not things like sheet music), but I don't know what to use it for. Can you recommend any 'pretty' songs, or songs that you think are beautiful? Maybe even a hymn? Something that's more classical, musical theatre, or pop-ish would be great.

Alternatively, do you have any song recommendations for a light voice?

Thank you!

Are you asking for an MP3 to download that you want to learn or listen to.

If learn, what range. Do you want a backing track? Who is the voucher for. What format

This is all really vague.

It's mostly just to listen to for now, with a slight intent to see what kinds of songs there are out there for that kind of voice (very generally speaking). Also, I heard some very pretty songs over the holiday (some I'm sure were hymns), but can't remember enough to find them again, so I thought I'd just ask and see what other people like, and hopefully find something similar. If I found something I really liked, I'd eventually like to learn it (though I'm happy waiting for my skill to build, as well as possibly transposing it).

If I had to learn anything right now, I'd say that C to D (one octave plus one note) is fairly safe, with possible extensions down to A (below C) or up to E or *maybe* F (above the D) on good days.

What format are you looking for the songs in, and who can you spend the money with? It would be silly for me to look on general websites if in reality you have an Amazon voucher!

Ah, yes - I suppose that would be helpful. blush.gif It's an iTunes card.
