Just entered E11 for his grade 4 exam. He's doing past paper questions in the car on the way to school every day - I'm soooo mean! ph34r.gif

No pupes this time, although 3 grade 5s cooking for next time.

Good luck to all those are preparing for Spring (A) entry 2012.

We originally thought to enter daughter for Grade 6 Theory, but lot of time has to spend on secondary school entrance exams.

I have a grade 1 and a 2 to enter!

One grade 5 theory entered, and one Grade 1 practical. The other Grade 1 practical's parent hasn't let me know so will have to chase them tomorrow.

My younger daughter is doing grade 5. We've been putting it off for ages, both the exam and the learning, and I thought the only way of making her get back to the book was to enter her.

Need to buy some past papers at the weekend, though if I'm lucky I'll find that there are a couple left over from when the older daughter did them a few years ago.

I've entered one grade 5 pupil smile.gif

I am entered for Grade 6 Theory.

I hope to Grade 7 Theory in summer, which will mean that my total time spent in exams in May-June 2012 is going to be just short of 1000 minutes! mellow.gif

Oh, school...

Wurlitzer, I sat and passed Grade 6 theory last November and am now in the full throws of preparing to sit Grade 7 in the Summer. You will find the transition between these two very small and I was very relieved to discover this after the huge jump that 6 presented from G5.

You still need to retain the knowledge from G6 for 7 (obviously), but for me, the first and third questions of the G7 papers appear simpler. Q2 is straightforward as they give you a lot to start from. And Qs 4 & 5 follow straight on from G6 but with the added possibility of Neopolitan 6ths, secondary dominant 7ths and diminished 7th chords.

Let me know if you want to compare notes as you go - please feel free to PM me at any time!

I'm going to enter myself for grade 5 theory in the Summer session (as this is the only session at a weekend).

Just 1 Gr 1 theory pupil although I've several pupils taking practical exams.

A new departure this time: pupil is being entered via his school - they're doing all the admin (hooray) and he'll sit the exam at school. I presume the results will go to school, so I hope his mum will let me know how he scores. This will be an interesting experience. smile.gif

I only enter pupils for the likes of Gr 1 if they or their parents are particularly keen. Normally it's grade 3 (or maybe 2) and then grade 5.
