I did think she was about 60-odd before today though and had been in her 30's-40's in her heyday!
Seems to be far too many troubled souls in the world of pop.

Whitney and Luther Vandross took R&B to a brand new level. As did Aaliyah....sadly now we're in the age of commercial rubbish. Alicia K is fantastic tho, I'm a massive fan and the pirate radio here in Birmingham always champion her stuff!
rip WH, tho I still find it difficult to believe Luther V has gone.
