Hi!

I just setup a Youtube account, and was wondering if some of you lovely pianists could offer some comments on my first recordings of:

Bach Two Part Invention no 1 in C Major : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL7S48z4oxE

Clementi Sonatina op 36 no 3 in C Major: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LI5Nzb_TMPs

Thanks!

I really liked the Bach, which I used to play. I found it just right. Not quite so keen on the Clementi (the playing was lovely - it's the piece I don't really care for), but all round very nice. You don't make many mistakes!

Both accurate and musical, though I would have preferred both a little faster, particularly the Clementi (listen to the YouTube recording by RCMMidi) A bit more use of staccato on the 'quaver' lines of the Invention woudn't go amiss, and maybe a bit more dynamic contrast in the Clementi.
Bass Clef
I only listened to the Bach because I'm more familiar with it, so I feel more able to comment.
I thought it was great, just when the LH has the semiquaver motif around 0:35 on the video it is a bit swamped by the RH. Perhaps the LH could sing out more? Also at this point the RH has quavers and I found that here you played these less staccato than when they appear elsewhere in the LH. I personaly like them like this (not too staccato, only slightly detached) and I think you could play the LH quavers similarly when they appear.
