I also received another teachers mark sheet and certificate enclosed in my batch of results this time. I have never had that happen before. huh.gif

I had a call from the board just before Easter asking if I'd received someone else's paperwork in error.

I'm sure they would be grateful to hear from you - if you haven't already let them know!

I find it bizarre that I've been giving out the exam fee slips and getting ready to enter the next lot whilst still waiting for results from the last session....!

Hurry up please!

I rang them instantly and posted it that day with a first class stamp.

Actually I felt for the young guy who called me. It sounded a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I do hope there were not so many mix-ups that the blame will be placed on staff trying to get results out more quickly (as many were, this time, mine in 8 days) and we thus get a return to the longer turnaround time.
Hedgehog
Longer turnaround time - I've only just had my results online from 29th March - I don't want any longer turnarounds please!

But with regards to receiving other people's paperwork, it happened to me last year just before I went on hols. So I sent it back having rung the board. And the next day or so it reappeared through my letterbox. So I got a bit cross, and said that they should reimburse my postage because it was the second time I had to send it back. And please don't send it to me again because I'm off on hols, so it would delay things for the rightful owner. blink.gif

Sorry for the rant.

phew....

2 distinctions, 2 merits and 3 passes so far....just waiting for the three from 31st and I'll be able to relax!

Anyone else have any luck today?

A personal best for my results....21 on scales for a grade 1 pianist!

Arghh! The wait is killing me - still no result from 26th. My confidence in the AB is rapidly fading. I have had to face 13 pupils this week all eager to hear their results + am finding it very hard to keep smiling. Examiner was not the most pleasant in the world so beginning to wonder if there was a problem.

Great news biggrin.gif
symphonic
I got my results through today from the 28th, 2 passes and 3 merits. Very relieved, thought a couple had had a bit of an off day. Hope those that are still waiting get some results soon!
Misterioso
Brilliant news, twinklefingers and symphonic. Chill out with a glass of wine and some fruitcake.gif !

Does anyone know if the offices are open on a Saturday? Just wonder if it's worth checking during the day tomorrow or not!

That whole timetable idea has turned out to be a bit of an embarrassment for them hasn't it blink.gif

Thanks guys - nearly time to reward myself with some wine....just three more results to go!

Too be honest, I think this whole exam period of marking has been utterly shambolic AND embarrassing for the ABRSM - a supposed World Class Music examination Board. My 30th March exams will be, I am told, be with me on Monday. I have already had a couple of lessons with students awaiting their results and you can sense their frustration at not knowing the outcome of their exam. Come on ABRSM!

Monday! Ahhh! There's not really any excuse is there - if they knew that they had a larger volume of entrants this time then employ more staff! Earlier dates seemed to get there results quite quickly so it seems they started off quite well, I wonder where it all went wrong.

Got home last night after being away for a while to find my Grade 6 pupil got 127, with great marks for all 3 pieces and good marks for the other tests, even the aural section she'd thought was a disaster. Very nice comments from the examiner. smile.gif

Still waiting for the result from 27Mar, phoned them up @20Apr, they still processing/checking the marks due to too many exams were taken in the last week of Mar, & said hopefully we will have it early this week!

I somehow think could the delay caused by the individual examiner did not submit their paper-work back to the broad on time???? As many pupils from this region had got their results already and some of them took the exam on 29,30Mar!

So bored of waiting now. I've given up any hope that they'll ever arrive.

15 through safely... 7 passes, 7 merits and a distinction. And sadly 1 fail. Not entirely unexpected...

He took it well to be fair, although still gutted. But he missed several lessons about a month before the exam due to family problems, and didn't focus like he should have, so i'm not hugely surprised... And it was a near miss!

I'm delighted with the rest, they did fab biggrin.gif
