A recently established and growing daytime concert band in Alton is looking for someone, preferably living within easy reach, to share conducting with the present conductor who has had some recent health problems.

This might suit an aspiring young conductor looking for experience in developing a band, or perhaps someone recently retired who enjoys conducting and teaching. As an update to the earlier message, the band is still looking for a conductor. If anyone is interested but only if they don't have to share the job, or they don't live very near but are willing to travel, it will also be worth their getting in touch.
