I have a question for Hubicka and Jessy, and anyone else who has a Musafia Momentum case.
I am very interested to see that Hubicka is getting a Momentum case, and Jessy has one already.
I was put off this model becausee of the measurements----Musafia quote a maximum bow length which Musafia quote for this case is shorter than my 3 bows, and the shop through which I have orderded my case agreed that it was very tight. The only bows which seem to be shorter than mine are Arcus---not sensible for me with my present fiddle.
Question therefore-----how do you find the Momentum model and the fit of your bows?
My full size bows do fit in though I must say one (or two?) of the slots are rather a tight fit! There seems to be a bit of a kanck to getting the bows in and out, because the case is very compact (one of its selling points for me) without any room wasted. Getting past the inner retaining strap on the right hand side was tricky to begin with.
I didn't actually think to measure my bows before I ordered the case. I notice on the Ultra Light model that the bow ribbons are slanted, suggesting there is more bow length available in that case. If in doubt, email Musafia - they are amazingly helpful!

Thankyou for this Jessy
Yes, I did email Musafia a while ago, and they were adamant that there was a maximum length of bow, (as per their web site)---and 0.5 cm shorter than I measured my 3 (standard) bows!
I have therefore gone for the Luxury Classic model---a bit longer, a little heavier and not so "pretty". However, this latter is a (mixed) blessing. While really liking the pretty silk contasting linings, I thought I might be a bit self-conscious openign my case at my violin and fiddle groups with something so pretty !.
A little extra weight is not a problem, as I carry my fiddle case as a rucksack anyway.
I suppose I expected you to say you could
just get your bows in, though---as why would Stringzone and Cardiff Violins stock the Momentum if no-one could get their bows in. All very strange----
