I'm wondering if there is anyone out there available on Friday 27th April in the evening to turn pages for an organist friend who is giving a recital at the cathedral?

I was hoping to be able to help out myself but it looks as though work commitments will make it a precarious business getting there on time.

It looks an enjoyable programme - if there is an experienced person reading this who can oblige, please contact me.

An ideal opportunity for a student to help out. Surely there must be organ pupils at the cathedral or local upper school? Watching a recitalist close up is fantastic 'training' just as much as watching one's teacher play for Evensong which I did nearly every day in my teens (soooo long ago now)

I think I know somebody who would be veeeeery pleased to help out, and who has previously page-turned for both Keith Wright and Oliver Brett amongst others.

If we are name dropping, I turned for Christopher Herrick once when I was about 10.

You surprise me.

Keith Wright was Sub Organist at Durham for many years before leaving for York last summer.

Oliver Brett was Assistant Organist at Durham for about two years beofre leaving for a new post in Australia.
