One of my pupils is thinking of buying a Medeli digital. I've never heard of the make before. If anybody has any experience of them I'd be very grateful to know what you think.

Not much help but I have heard of the make before when researching digital drums. They make a cheap and cheerful, reasonably decent electronic drum kit.

Have a look at this (ignore Gyro comments)

Medeli seem to make a number of cheap keyboards that get rebranded by other people.
The cheapest that you probably want people to go for are Korg 170/250, Yamaha P95, Casio PX130/5 round about the ?400 mark.

Thanks to both of you for the replies, also for the useful link and suggestions for other models. I think I've persuaded the parent in question that it might be safer to go for a better known make!
