I bought the ABRSM edition of Schubert Impromptu's(Op.90) which seems to be brilliant with notes and is clear as ever! I also have another ABRSM edition of Chopin Waltzes. Because I'm finished Grade 8, I decided to go to a more difficult piece, and become I have never played schubert i thought of the impromptus. I started on No.4 in a flat major and now I have the piece perfectly played hands seprately and now slowly going through hands together!! I thought that it's a easy enough piece for an advanced student. So what dp you think of the diffiulty of this piece?? And what would you suggest for putting dynamics and emotion into the piece? And PLEASE post your performances of playing it here!!

I would have thought it is diploma level - Op. 90 no. 2 (Eflat) and no. 3 (Gflat) are on the ATCL diploma list and no. 3 is on the AB DipABRSM list. I don't know the Ab one.

I think the Ab one is on the DipLCM list. Do you learn everything hand separately first?

Yes Id say all of the Op90 set are about the same difficulty , Dip A type. I play all of them. The Eflat makes a particularly good performance piece
