Just read in local paper of an 11 year old lad, who is autistic (and being home educated) who has got Distinction in Grade 8 violin.

I think the thing with autistic children is that they can concentrate very hard on subjects which interest them. It's wonderful that this lad is so excited by music, and lovely for his parents to be able to foster his enthusiasm.
