I know it's way off yet but does anyone know when the pieces will be announced for 2013/2014?

Having read some 'Libretto' magazines, I found that the May 2006, May 2004 and May 2002 all contained 'Grade 8 piano previews', that contained a list of the grade 8 pieces for piano that would be released for the next 2 years.

May 2008 or May 2010 didn't contain the previews for some reason... not sure about this year!

Yes, they decided to stop doing the previews a few years ago. I can't remember exactly why, but there was an announcement at the time.

In a way I'm sad I've done grade 8 - reading the lists and listening to the pieces was always so much fun!
I like guessing what Bach, Mozart and Beethoven will be chosen:-)

The 'A' and 'B' lists are so predictable, but the 'C' lists are marvellous!

I'm waiting and rather excited Been playing lots of repertoire to keep me occupied in the mean time however.

On July 8th there is a free preview of pieces at Chappells and they will be on sale then.
