Joe (from HK),

How many hours did you practice piano daily in order for you to pass grade 8 and Diplomas exam? I'm an adult student too, I plan to practice 3-4 hours every day, do you think that's enough? I would like to take grade 8 exam in Nov 2004, and I just passed grade 7 piano exam this month.

Can anyone please offer any advice as to how long it takes (on average) to prepare for a teaching dipABRSM on violin ? I work full time, so it would be done via private lessons (and hard work!) in my spare time.

I appreciate that this will vary according to the individual, so a rough approximation or at least an idea of a minimum length of time would be very helpful.

Thanks...Darren.

you need to practice at least 2 hours a day wink.gif

I have to work in day time. I have only night time to practice piano.
About 2 - 3 hours per night on week days, About 8 hours on Sunday.
But I know it is not enough.
I didn't pass the DipABRSM sad.gif . But never give up. biggrin.gif
