For everyone who can't wait until 5th July when the new exam books will be published, I have found out what one of the grade 4 pieces will be. "The Little Peruvian Girl" from "Piano pieces for children under 100 years of age" by Frederico Ruiz. There is even a sample of a couple of lines from the piece if you see the green box at the right side of this site:

How's that for an early piece of news! laugh.gif

Love the title of the book! Sounds a nice little piece - hoping to have some grade 4 people next year, so look forward to trying it out.

I also believe that Blue Sky Blues has been chosen for the Grade 3 list tongue.gif

Thanks Porilo!

Exciting time of year! I wonder what the 'theme' will be? Going off the one you mentioned, maybe Latin American? I loved exploring the Spanish themes this year.

I received an email from the composer some months ago saying that he has published a new book called JazzJazzJazz and that the Blue Sky Blues piece had been chosen for the 2013-2014 Grade 3 syllabus smile.gif
