Hello,

I only recently started learning the violin and have 5 lessons. My husband bought me the Zeller in May and in June I got some Melos rosin for my birthday.

I am learning some notes on the G string and it sounds really buzzy and horrible. The other three strings sound nice but the lowest string really doesn't sound good. Is it a technique problem or do you think I should replace that string with a different make of string? Is it because it is virtually unused and needs more playing for it to sound better?

I saw some posts where people replace the E string but not anything about the G.

My teacher loves my violin because it stays in tune but I have been avoiding pieces that use the low notes because I don't like the buzzing.
