Does anyone know either of these two books?

And if so, what do you think of them? I was considering getting one for my daughter, who has suddenly discovered the joys of playing with a CD and I thought they might be a way of encouraging her to practise scales.

We have Scales Under Construction Emsoboe quite enjoyed but it didn't inspire her to practice scales anymore than normal

What does the CD have on it?

This being France my daughter is not actually supposed to be playing/learning lots of scales. She just has two to work on during the holidays but she is supposed to be playing them in lots of different ways.

It's a while since it's been used but I think it's scale exercises rather than straight scales. I'll get Emsoboe to dig it out and have a listen so we tell you properly.
