Hi all,

Just a quick question! I know some practical results have been coming in ahead of schedule, but has anyone ever had theory results in early?
I had three pupils who sat theory 16th Jun but two of them are going on holiday this week and I've been keeping my fingers crossed the results would magically appear early!
Sat coming will mark four weeks exactly.

Theory results usually take 6 weeks.

I think you'll be lucky to get them at the 4 week point although they usually start coming through soon after the 4 week point. It's probably not unrealistic to expect some results next week.

If your pupils or their parents are contactable by mobile - you could text them their result when it comes. I've done this for a pupil before when they were away in the Far East during the summer. I know it's not the same as ringing them up but at least they didn't have to wait until September for their results.

Last session results were published online after 4 weeks with the certificates and mark sheets coming out at 6 weeks. It is my understanding that this is the intention for this session too.

Agree with Louise H that it would be good to text them the result, if you can, and let them know that you'll have their certificate waiting for them when they get back.

As a student rather than a teacher, - a few years ago I was expecting both piano and theory results during a holiday to Switzerland, so my teacher agreed to text me the results if they came while I was away. It was quite something to get the first set on top of a mountain!! (And I'd passed too! )

The quickest I've ever received theory results was 3 1/2 weeks. As Catey says, the AB plan to ave the results online after 4 weeks with certicates following about 2 weeks later.

I got my students 16/6 theory results today!

Hopefully it won't be long then. Do they send them out in alphabetical order of centre number?

Just got my one and only Grade 5 theory result for this session - arrived by post this mlorning. Merit, so very pleased - particularly as he had the language problem to cope with as well, but this was a boy who devours anything intellectual.

Helenflute, that was really lucky, one of mine leave tomorrow for hols and the other on fri, i'm willing the online result to appear as I know they'll have done really well and I'd love to give them a great start to their hols!
I know I can text, but it's not the same as hearing the delight in their voice!
I had three in total sitting theory on june 16th so hopefully my results will not be long now!

Thanks! Only four Grade 5 candidates: 1 merit and 3 distinctions. Merit result was for a student who just turned 9. Highest distinction was 95, but the student doing it is probably Grade 8 level (usually does a different exam-board). He sat the exam so he can do his practical exams shortly. All the students put in a lot of work, and did all the past papers I could get my hands on!

Just got my pupils theory results online, 2 distinctions 97, 93 and a merit 85!
Really pleased!
My practical results came in last week, so thats me done for this session. I'm off to enjoy the rest ofthe summer!

Just found mine online, too. Two 11 year old girls, both got a Distinction for Grade 4. They'll be thrilled!

Got mine too - just one grade 1, distinction.

Just two in this time, and I have just got the results:


Grade 3 - 81, which was great as the person concerned really struggles with it.

Grade 2 - 96 - expected!

Well done everyone.....I'm still waiting and our exam was 10 days before the UK's!! Really wish we could have online results here too
