What is everyone's favourite rosin? I am planning on getting some new rosin, but can't decide what to get! I play cello.

Hi Charleymer.
I've play violin and just started cello (inbetween piano exams) but I've been using my violin rosin.
Without actually looking at mine, I think it's called Hidershine 3V.
I've noticed there is 6V (I think) and even dark opposed to light rosin ?
I would be interested if anyone can tell us the difference with them and which is the best to use.

Cello rosin is a heavier rosin than violin rosin - I have hidersine deluxe - they call it the perfect cello rosin on the box!
Nice to meet a cello player posting on this forum

I have been using hidersine deluxe, but i find its quite squeaky. it doesn't like my bow!! But I recently got a new German bow, and I found that it needs better rosin. I really want some nice stuff, but don't know what to buy.
And I need to get some more before my Gd 7 exam in about 4 weeks, so any advice would be welcome!
Thanks

I don't play cello, but for the violin my favourite rosin is Szigeti. I don't know if it is good for cellos but... maybe worth a try???! what does your teacher recommend?
