I wonder if anyone can help or advise. I am starting to study pieces for grade8 and am , for only the second time playing Bach. Prelude and fugue in C minor. I'd really like to learn some easier Bach , and to introduce my daughter to Bach as well. She is about to sit Grade 4.
Any advice would be welcome , thank you .

Check out the Inventions, they go from the harder end of Grade 4 upwards, you can also get them in a book together with the Symphonias, which you may enjoy. The other option is the French Suites, again go from the harder end of Grade 4.

thank you I'll try the Inventions and French Suites. It's so difficult to play the fugue, and it sounds so awful at the moment.
I expect it'll take the rest of the year to get it even half OK.
I don't suppose theres any more advice on Debussy Minstrels? Has anyone got a recording that they can recommend?

Walter Gieseking was a German pianist who was one of the best players of Debussy's Preludes. I have a recording by EMI "Great Recordings of the Century" series. Well worth a listen.
