I'm doing Grade IV piano next month and I'm doing a couple of pieces with short repeats at the beginning. Can anyone remember if you ignore these repeats for the exam or is it down to the examiner on the day?

you usually do not play repeats

why do they put in the repeats if u are not ment to play them???

well the composer obvioulsy originally wanted to repeat a certain section so thats why, but in an exam it is usually pointless to repeat a passage
