The flute! I love it to bits

!!! And singing, if that counts, though that depends on who's singing...

I think that Piano is my favourite because it is harder and when you get further on it, you feel so much more accomplished. I know that doing Grade 5 on the clarinet seems like childsplay to when I was doing Grade 5 piano.
I suppose it might be something to do with the fact that if you learn more instruments, it gets easier

I have favourite instruments to play, and others are favourite to listen to so I cant vote. (too difficult to make choice)

Flute. No question, especially in my latest craze of Marceau de concours (not that I can spell it and my limited knowledge of french leads me to think this is the spelling...)

Most definately the piano. I have tried the trombone before but it wasnt for me, (The neighbours called a plumber out because they thought there was a problem in the water pipes. It was me practising.!

Hi recorderzrule - I quite agree with you! Have you ever seen Piers perform live? Catch him with Red Priest if you can. He used to teach my sister and I played with him in a quartet once - scary experience!!

A duet with Piers? Great! You probably found it fun because you're a much higher standard than I am!
This quartet occasion was me, my sis, Piers and Brian Blood (the bass player of the Dolmetsch Ensemble and the MD of Dolmetsch). EEEEEEEKKKK!!! It was one of the scariest things I've done...
I'm so glad he's been your inspiration. He's a wonderful person and just the BEST player. I'm going to see Red Priest's 'Red Hot Baroque' new concert in May. Can't wait!
My sister learned with him and says she owes everything to him. She now has several recorder students who are equally inspired by him.
In the past he's come into schools where I've taught and worked with the children as well as playing a short concert for them. I must say he has a remarkably high pain threshold as I've seen him teach real beginners (B,A,G) without wincing! He also made what they were playing into real MUSIC within a few moments. Quite remarkable...
GO PIERS!!!

the roadshow was him playing with school kids playing the accompaniment! i went along to help and it was great. He did a workshop in the schools during the week before the concert and then they all formed a little recorder orchestra together. the parents loved it!

It's near Bromley, in Kent, on May 16th, but I'm sure he's doing it in other places too. I think it was premiered in London a month or so ago. Maybe the Red Priest website will give other venues if you're not within striking distance of London? (Bromley is S. London).
