Does anyone have any recommendations for good books for technique? I play the piano and I'm wondering if there are any violin equivalents of Hanon or Czerny. I know there are Etudes available but I need something that's not too difficult or fancy. Maybe around Grade 3 to 4 level. Thanks

Books by Herbert Kinsey are good. There are several sets aimed at various levels. I would think the Elementary Studies Set II or III would be ok as they cover first and third position.
Kayser studies are also useful.
Remember that studies for technique are sometimes more difficult than the pieces you'd play at various grades. Make sure you master both left and right hand technique properly, because technique is what will eventually allow you to play more difficult music.
