I just got 139 on Jazz Trumpet Grade 2. I was convinced that I had mucked it up in various places, though. This means that i) the examiners are very forgiving at this level, ii) I'm not as bad as I think I am, or iii) a mixture of the last two.
Regards,
Mark.

138 for Grade 4 Violin.
Always puzzled me how I managed to get a higher mark on the instrument which I don't like playing. I think it's because I got good marks on Sightreading and Aural due to the fact I was doing about 3 grades higher for piano.

i wonder how can a person score 100 percent full marks in the theory exam????????i thought that it's impossible to score full marks in composing melody?
elmo
Mar 19 2005, 08:38 AM
One of my friend's piano teachers did. If the melody works, even if the examiner doesn't like it, they still can't dispute it as a good melody!

lol...yeah, at least i passed...but i played the scales and did the aural so horribly that the examiner thought that i didn't know that they were required.
she wrote, "You have good performance skill, but don't forget about the aural and scales."
Oh yeah, and I forgot about theory. I got 90 for Grade 5 theory because I accidently composed in the wrong key! Oops!

My best mark was 121 for grades 1 and 2 when Id only had lessons for 6 months. However my grade 7 only got 105. My best mark was 29/30 for my grade 4 list b piece- Study in B flat by Heller. Has anyone ever got full marks on a piece?

. I can't remember, but I think it was 132, Grade 3. The next Grade test I'll be taking is Grade 5, but I still can't get all the scales right...
