What piece are people doing for their grade 6?
I'm doing the first and second movement of the Tartini,
San Remo's by Robin Grant, and i have been learning no35 from the james Rae book but i hate that piece with a passion and was wondering if anyone has played another piece from group c thats nice to play.
Cheers.
Sam.

A: Either the Tartini or the Brahms. Or the Mozart...

... I am learning them all, asl I love them all, and will decide which one I can play best at a later date.
B: Bliss!
C: James Rae No 35, like you. I love it, actually! Perhaps you will like the Baermann? I hated that!

I have also tried the Graham Lyons, and didn't like that either.
When are you planning on taking the exam?

YES!!!
Not so much the studies, but lists A and B are really calling out to me! I've decided to try and learn as many of them as possible (ie, as I can afford!) because there's so much great material there that I wanna play.

Did anyone else think that the studies were a bit ..weird...this time?
I didn't dislike any of them, but i didn't instantly have a favourite.

I am playing; mozart/prelude - finzi/meditation - james rae. I think the pieces are ok but they don't particularly interest me, i think there are probably better pieces out there!
