well done them!!
flute grade 1 - ok, i think i saw some marks so if im right, then i got 18 for scales, 19 for sight reading, 24 for the study
aurals were an absolute doddle! never thought id hear myself say that..even if it was only grade 1!!!
sax grade 5- ive played the pieces better but hey, aurals were terrible i couldnt do them! i think i got 18 for scales and sight reading. not too sure, couldnt see anything else!

Hey, those aren't bad scores at all, and you've done yourself proud, and I'm sure it'll reflect in the good results you are going to get. Think about how much you worried and how you didn't need to. Relax tonight and celebrate!
Mar 23 2005, 04:09 PM
well i might have seen wrong! and might have got 14 or something!
Mar 23 2005, 04:15 PM
well done Nat. Sounds as though it all went well. Have a night off tonight & celebrate doing 3 exams in 1 session. How did the accompanying go?
Mar 23 2005, 04:20 PM
hope you do do well it doesn't matter if you find aurals hard keep practisin them
Mar 23 2005, 04:21 PM
Well done Nat. It sounds like it all went well so just relax now!
Mar 23 2005, 04:34 PM
thanks! the accompanying went well, surprisingly!
Mar 23 2005, 04:40 PM
Well done, I knew you could do it!
Now you can relax (till the summer!
Don't bank on the scores you saw being right - In my Grade 7 clarinet (Guildhall exam) I thought I'd got 34/52 on one piece which wasn't good. I worried so much until I saw the results - It was actually 44!
Mar 23 2005, 04:45 PM
i probably was wrong with the scores, i probably got less!
Mar 23 2005, 05:06 PM
Well done Natalie, and I am glad you are happy. Yes, grade 1 aurals would be a doddle for someone who has already done them at higher levels. Don't worry about the grade 5. I have yet to do an exam for flute or saxophone, but I hope to at sometime.
Roll on grade 8.

Hi Nat, glad they went ok, I have another example to add on the list now! Sorry I never text you!
Mar 23 2005, 06:33 PM
Well done! I just had Grade 1 Percussion exam (about 30mins ago as I write this) and I totally flopped it! The examiners were great, but my nerves got the better of me!
Mar 23 2005, 06:38 PM
Don't worry bassmadmatt, you're probably remembering all the bad bits (like most of us do) & forgetting the bits that were OK. I'm sure the results will be a pleasant surprise though I know the wait for them seems like an age.
Mar 23 2005, 06:39 PM
Cheers Andy, I hope you're right!
Mar 23 2005, 06:42 PM
Well done! Sounds like you got on well today. Have a rest now for a day or two and good luck for the results!
Mar 23 2005, 07:20 PM
