Dear pianist_1210,

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm afraid that you have been misinformed. We don't offer prizes to people who have got distinction for Grades 6, 7 and 8 in the same discipline - so please don't start sending in copies of certificates.

The Associated Board does award scholarships and bursaries for study at one of the four Royal Schools of Music. Prizes are also awarded annually, on a local and national basis, to candidates achieving high standards in practical graded music exams. These prizes are made possible by funds
and endowments entrusted to the Associated Board by individual donors and organisations. For further information on these, please go to our Press Section and take a look at page 26 onwards of our Annual Review. The 2004 Annual Review will be added to these in April.
