Full Version: Harlem Nocturne?

Raven
Not entirely sure if it's actually classified as Jazz, but has anyone heard of it, and if you do, do you know where I can pick up a recording of it?
TenorClef
Firstly is the recording for you to play along to or just to listen to? Your profile does'nt give any clues as to what you play.

I got the sheet music (sax) for that the other day...and a CD ohmy.gif

The book with it in (and 9 other blues songs) is:
"Guest Spot: Classic Blues Playalong for Saxophone"

Comes with CD recordings of tracks, with and without sax part playing...

Sample of track from MusicRoom (requires Realplayer): Click Here

The concert band which I play in has a version of this, if you're interested.

Send me a link, thanks TC.

The tune is by Eddie Harris (Tenor Sax) and can be found on a CD called "There Was A Time." The sheet music you can get for any instrument at "Sheetmusicplus.com" or "jazzbooks.com."

Nessie1,

Would your offer be available to others? I'd be very interested in your concert band version of this.

Regards,

Mark.
