Just wondering how many of you do or have done musical theatre. My choir does one every summer. This summer we're doing Cinderella. So far I've done:

Fiddler on the Roof - Chava
The Music Man - Eulalie Shinn
Once Upon a Mattress - the Minstrel
Guys and Dolls - Adelaide

I love musicals!

Some of my fav musicals are the famous ones like The King and I (cos Yul Brynner was cool,and it still makes me laugh when I see all the kids...the ones whose mothers are still in his good books ) parade in front of Anna.

My Fair Lady...especially the Ascot scene.

Sound of Music because Mr Plummer is so very handsome in it

The Rocky Horror Show...Tim Curry...." Ooooooohhhhhh...Rocky!!!!!!" I want that outfit...

Caberet...just miss out the non musical bits.Joel Gray is superb ( the very rich blonde guy is also very handsome,but is a cad ) and if you know your Art,the director set up stills of famous paintings/pictures. This was based on Short Stories by Christopher Isherwood.Sergio Leone does the same sort of thing in his spag westerns.

West Side Story...South Pacific. All the old ones.They don't make them like they used too...or do they?

PS Talking of Leone no one here has mentioned Ennio Morricone.Great music....

We do a musical at school, usually in March. I've been in Little Shop of Horrors, some christmas thing that was written for us and have played in the pit band for Grease and Bugsy Malone.

There's also been Oliver and In the Midnight Hour, which I went to watch

I love 'The Little Shop of Horrors'. I've also done 'Oliver!', 'Annie', 'The Beggar's Opera', 'Crazy for You' and 'Bugsy Malone'.
One's which I haven't done but are great at 'Miss Saigon', 'A Chorus Line', 'Nine', 'The Boyfriend', 'Company', 'Les Miserables', 'Songs for a New World', 'Side Show' '1066 and All That', 'Free as Air', 'The Wizard of Oz'
