Playing the piano yesterday evening, it struck me that pedalling could follow the slurs....does anybody do this???
StuMac
Slurs mean notes played legato, which is not the same thing as sustaining eeach note on until the end of the slur.

If you just hold the pedal down slurs you could well end up running clashing harmonies together.

Yeah that's what I thought...OK, back to the drawing board!

yea i do that.....i abuse the pedal. But i dont care, im just playing for fun.

Hmm, I think I may abuse the pedal slightly too much in one of my compositions for GCSE...pedal down for the full duration of each bar huh.gif

Does sound pretty decent, but it doesn't seem right, so I probably need to work on that...somehow ohmy.gif
