Hi everyone just wanted to know whether any one had got 30/30 for a piece in an ABRSM exam.
Not being big headed or anything but i was very pleased to see a 30/30 for my grade 5 piano exam for a piece i wasn't going to play.....lol........it was the 2003-2004 exam pieces for Piano the piece was
C:2 Bossa Nova.
So anyone else got 30/30 for any pieces?
.......and also has any one got more than 145 in an exam apart from the easy grade 1 exams lol....... i have only been lucky enough to get about 135 i think.
Cheers

I've got 137 in both exams for violin & piano before, and I know someone who got 142 last year. My friend also just got 30/30 in an organ grade 7 exam (beat me, too!) for one piece.

I got 30/30 for a Stravinsky piece in my grade 8 clarinet. It was technically quite fiendish, and it was the one without the piano as well. The examiner must have enjoyed it. And I got 29/30 for the Arnold, and but for some dodgy intonation it would also have been 30. I got 135 overall, so I was quite happy.

Also, when someone gets 30/30, what sort of comment goes with it?

Comments from my one and only 30/30
" A really confident performance - the rubato sounded very natural and the balance was excellent. This was very arousing - and beautifully coloured"

I just got my results for G7 Flute and G5 piano back. I got 30/30 in two of my pieces in the flute exam and got 29/30 on the other one. I got 142 overall!! I also got a 30/30 in one of my pieces on piano (the new syllabus, C1) I got 130 overall on piano. I'm really pleased, especially as I only started piano 2 and a half years ago!

Hi everyone!
The highest overall score out of all my exams was in my grade four cello a while ago when i got 146!
However, i think that could've been luck because i carried my little lucky mouse with me!!! (don't worry...not a real one!)
Does anyone else here have any little lucky charms that they take into exams with them or don't you think it works!!!!????

The highest I ever got was 143 on a violin grade 3 exam three years ago

I'm v. proud!
I've got 30/30 twice in my musical career so far... grade1 and grade 5.
I've been very fortunate to have kind, generous examiners!
" Played with vivid dynamic shaping, incisive articulation & a most characterful lilt. Meticulously fluent" - Grade 1
"There was much of positive musical value in this well-projected performance: a dependable sense of rhythm, a really well-judged range of tonal levels culminating in a striking final flourish" - Grade 5
My teacher got 149/150 in her grade 8, I think!!!! Pretty amazing....then again she did play with the Beatles
In small proportions we just beautis see; in short measures life may perfect be - Ben Jonson
