Hi ! Just interested in how much work load on the violin do you usually have ?
For me, I have to practice scales (all G5 scales), 2 studies and 2-3 songs a week, and I have to play them all to my teacher (who is quite strict) in the lesson.
How about you ?

Neither says much though, does it.
Practising 3 pieces and all scales can take anything between 20 minutes a day, minimum, and 12 hours a day!

Surely it's how you apply your self to the practise not the time spent. I will do a minimum of 20 min a day. weekends are my best times as I can manage 3 sessions; morning, afternoon and evening. spending 20 min 1 piece is not a waste of time if you cam make that piece secure

It's still to do with work load though. I would consider myself as never having had a high music work load - a few hours a week, back before it was my full time job!
Other people with the same amount of work as me, had a bigger workload, because it took them a few hours a day!
Also, 3 pieces a day at grade 1 isn't a huge workload. Often 20 minuts practice a day is fine.
3 pieces practised a day for adiploma would take 20 minutes just to play them all through, let alone practice!
