I'm very pleased that I made it to extra paper in my gcse english lit exam on wednesday. I had re today which was quite difficult. How did you all find the music exams? I did edexcel music - it was ok. I like music exams! Much more interesting than re!

I had RMPS today (religious, moral and philosophical studies). I wrote 18 and a half pages, and it hurts!

Ok, very random question, but does anyone have any phrases I could use to write in a formal letter of complaint to my college examinations officer requarding being left off the seating plan for an a-level exam, nearly not being allowed to sit the exam, having a minor panic attack (when you're already prone to exam nerves) shreiking at the invigilator till they give you a seat, and starting said exam trying not to cry your eyes out, meaning I am convinced I have... not done as well as I might have, shall we say.
For some reason, due to still being upset about it, as well as generally pretty peed off, I can't make the tone... erm... suitable.
Help?

Erm Tamsin.
Say that you felt that this unneeded stress put you under extra pressure, and may have affected your exam grade. You feel that being missed off the seating plan should be taken into account when your paper is marked, and that the exam board should be notified. Any good?

My brother had an RE exam today, I asked him how it went and he just grunted! I hope he does well though, considering he is only in year 9 at the moment.

Tamsin, I am shocked that your school could let this happen to you! I had a similar experience in y9 Sats last year but didn't think to complain. I would ask your parents to contact the school and the exam board to see if you can get special consideration. Suitable phrases - "I am writing to complain....". Can't really think of anything suitable - a lot of unsuitable things though!

That's appalling Tamsin. I'd be more than willing to help, although I'm better at editing what you already wrote rather than coming up with stuff, but I'm going to be offline for a few days - pc probs. If you can wait till next week then I'll happily help for one... That's dreadful. (I would try now but I'm snatching moments at work so best not!

I would definitely write to the exam board Tamsin, as well as the school.
Getting annoyed at the amoutn of Biology we haven't learnt, and need to learn for the exam. This week, I am just going to be revising Science and History like mad, with Maths thrown in between, I really can't cope with 7 exams the week after next.

It depends which subject really, but after Easter in your GCSE year, i.e year 11, you start to really feel the pressure.

Ergh, just on a break, and don't know how I am going to manage to learn all this stuff for next week. I have a week to revise for 7 exams, and Science is taking me ages. I get fed up of revision but I can't stop because there is so much to learn. ARGH!
