Hi all smile.gif

I was wondering about the written submission for the Dip teaching. I have chosen my subject and made a good start but I'm unsure if I should be writing in the first or third person? blink.gif

For example my chosen subject is "How to introduce a new piece to a student"

Should I be writing (for example) .........."The first thing I would consider is........." or "The first thing THE TEACHER should consider is.........."

Anyone done the Dip who can shed some light for me? ph34r.gif

Many thanks
Appassionata
I made it less personal i.e. I wrote in the third person.

Below is the introduction I wrote for mine.

"Controlling the quality of tone produced is perhaps the most important area of playing and learning to play the clarinet. Breath control, correct posture and an appropriate embouchure must be learned. “Clarinets cannot be made intrinsically in tune, so the performer is forever fighting to overcome the deficiencies of the instrument”

Posture has a huge impact on tone production. The discussion below explores the way in which “good” and “bad” posture influences tone and the various other factors impacting on sound production."

I got 23 / 25 for my essay so I guess it was the right way to write it! Hope this helps! wink.gif
