Dear All
Would anyone please advise me if whether I can buy a set of full sized string for my 3/4 sized cello. I hope to do this as I would like to invest into good quality string. As my cello exam is approaching, I would do anything for the sound quality.
Please help!

No reason why not, though I can't think why you don't just get 3/4 ones.

Dominant strings are available in 3/4 size and are also a good quality string. Be prepared to pay in the region of £80 for a complete set.
Another alternative (depending on your cello) that you might consider is using soft Jarger strings on the A and D, and Dominant for the G and C. A lot depends on the balance of the instrument, but generally the treble end will be a bit weaker than the bass, so the Jarger's help to compensate that.
Jarger strings are only available in fullsize, but they will fit a 3/4 cello without having too much spare string around the peg.
Good luck for your exam!
